We report on three cases of male patients with threatening ischemia of
lower limbs due to extensive thrombangiitis obliterans. Four extremit
ies were treated successfully with a combination of percutaneous aspir
ation thrombectomy (PAT) and thrombolysis. One stent was additionally
implanted in one patient. Three reocclusions in two patients made a re
intervention necessary. In all three patients we could achieve at leas
t a temporary clinical improvement and no amputation was necessary.
