Abstract
A syringe pump damping system for microdialysis, coupled on-line with amperometric detection, was developed, The damping system consisted of an air bubble and a fused silica capillary. A bubble volume of 20 mu L and a 15 cm capillary, 50 mu m i.d., were found to be optimal for fl ow rates between 1 and 5 mu L min(-1). Enhancements of detection limit by 2 orders of magnitude were obtained with this experimental setup.
