Poly[oxymethylene-oligo(oxyethylene)]s have been prepared with a propo
rtion of the chain units having pendant unsaturated groups. Radical ch
emistry was used to crosslink either the polymers alone or mixtures of
the polymers with LiClO4. Swelling and tensile measurements were used
to determine the extent of crosslinking, and differential scanning ca
lorimetry and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis to determine glass t
ransition and melting temperatures. Conductivities of network-salt mix
tures were measured by ac impedance spectroscopy. The conductivities a
nd thermal properties of crosslinked and uncrosslinked materials were
essentially identical.
