Abstract
The title complex, mu-chloro-bis[(1R,4R*)-5,5,7,13,15, yl-1,4,8,12-te traazacyclopentadeca-7,12-diene-N-1, N-4,N-8,N-12)(perchlorato-O)coppe r(II)] perchlorate, [Cu2Cl(ClO4)(2)(C17H34N4)(2)](ClO4), has a chlorid e-bridged centrosymmetric confacial dinuclear cation. Each copper(II) ion has tetrahedrally twisted (+/- 0.30 Angstrom) planar coordination composed of the four N atoms of the macrocyclic ligand [mean Cu-N-amin e 2.02 (1) and Cu-Ni-imine 1.99 (1) Angstrom], with weak tetragonal ch loride [Cu-Cl 2.83 (1) Angstrom] and perchlorate O-atom [Cu-O 2.94 (1) Angstrom] interactions. The Cu atom is displaced by 0.09 Angstrom fro m the best N-4 plane towards the chloride ion.
