Abstract
Flurtamone, 5-methylamino-2-phenyl-4-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl) furan-3 (2H)-one, C18H14F3NO2, is a weed killer. The phenyl substituents are r otated by about 30 and 72 degrees from the mean plane of the central f ive-membered ring, while the methylamino substituent lies almost withi n this plane.
