Abstract
This article presents a complete procedure to optimize microwave plana r circuits with a rigorous electromagnetic approach. It dynamically co mbines intensive electromagnetic simulation with data interpolation. V arious shielded microstrip stub configurations are optimized in the mi llimeter range. Results are compared with those provided by HP MDS, a commercial circuit simulator. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
