Mmh. Miah et al., CROSS-SECTION FOR THE RH-103(N,N')RH-103(M) REACTION IN THE ENERGY-RANGE 5.7-12 MEV, Physical review. C. Nuclear physics, 54(1), 1996, pp. 222-226
The Rh-103(n,n')Rh-103(m) cross section was measured by the activation
method in the neutron energy range 5.7-12 MeV with an uncertainty of
approximate to 5%. Monoenergetic neutrons produced by the D(d,n)He-3 r
eaction were used to irradiate metallic Rh samples at 0 degrees relati
ve to the deuteron beam. The K x rays from Rh-103(m) were measured wit
h a calibrated Si detector, and the neutron fluence was determined by
means of a U-238 fission chamber. The measured cross sections resolve
the discrepancies in previous data and agree with the results of recen
t statistical model calculations of the fast-neutron cross sections of
rhodium.
