G. Hempel et W. Rajanowa, ON THE RANKING OF FOREST STANDS SCHEDULED FOR RECONSTRUCTION, Forstwissenschaftliches Centralblatt, 115(3), 1996, pp. 186-192
Forest reconstruction measures on a large scale are due in Saxony to m
eet complex forest management objectives and to compensate for forest
decline on account of damage by immissions. To achieve this aim the st
ands have to be ranked to establish priorities in forest stand reconst
ruction. A mathematical was used to deal with this task, where forest
stands are considered multiple characterization objects and their star
e can be modelled as a tuple of comparative and/or quantitative values
. For ranking the tuples are assessed and classified by order relation
ships. This report presents and discusses a process for the ranking of
forest reconstruction stands and a computer program to assist users i
n the application of this method.
