Abstract
Molybdenum(VI) and tungsten(VI) catalyze perborate oxidation of anilin e to azobenzene in aqueous acetic acid and tile catalyzed oxidations a re zero, First and second order in the oxidant, catalysts and substrat e, respectively. Tile reactive species of perborate is H2O2 and the me chanism of catalysis is discussed.
