Abstract
Unsaturated cyclic alpha,alpha-difluoro ketones were prepared in high
yield by the reaction of hydroxy-substituted aromatic derivatives with
-fluoro-4-hydroxy-1,4-diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane bis(tetrafluorobor
ate) [Accufluor(TM) - NFTh] in methanol or acetonitrile solution, whil
e alpha,alpha-difluoro phenones were obtained from phenylsubstituted a
lkynes in MeCN/H2O 9:1 reaction media.
