Abstract
The reaction of 1,3-diferrocenylbut-2-en-1-one 1 with Li2PdCl4 in meth anol in the presence of NaOAc produced mu-chloro-bridged eta(3)-allylp alladium complex 2 in high yield. Treatment of 2 with PPh(3) afforded the monomeric triphenylphosphine derivative 3. The anti conformation o f 3 was confirmed by 2D H-1 NMR spectroscopy and also by X-ray crystal lography.
