Abstract
The pathogenesis of amyloidosis is not well understood. Here, Zafer Al i-Khan, Weihua Li and Sic L. Chan present a metazoan parasite mouse mo del of reactive amyloidosis, review the relationship between chronic i nflammation and multiorgan AA amyloidosis and postulate how ubiquitin might function in the processing of serum amyloid A and AA amyloid for mation in the endosomes-lysosomes of activated murine reticuloendothet ial cells.
