BUDD-CHIARI SYNDROME-ASSOCIATED WITH 5Q DELETION AND HYPEREOSINOPHILIA

Budd-Chiari syndrome was associated with a 5q deletion syndrome and hy pereosinophilia in a 50-year-old woman. There may be a link between th ese syndromes and gene deletion on chromosome 5, particularly the IL-5 gene, which regulates eosinophils.
