Abstract
Blood samples were collected from three white-bellied (Eupodotis seneg alensis), four little black (Eupodotis afra) and five Heuglin's (Neoti s heuglinii) bustards. All birds were captive adults and clinically no rmal at the time of sampling. Standard haematology assays were carried out to establish normal reference values for the three species. The r esults obtained are compared with similar studies conducted in the hou bara (Chlamydotis undulata macqueenii), rufous-crested (Eupodotis rufi crista) and kori (Ardeotis kori) bustards.
