EXPERIENCES WITH AN INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY SAMPLE EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR CLINICAL-CHEMISTRY AND HEMATOLOGY

In 1989 an international veterinary sample exchange program for clinic al chemistry and haematology was started. The program comprises 28 cli nical chemical and haematological variables and was joined by 15 labor atories in Europe. Differences between laboratories and changes in rep eatability (r); reproducibility (R), the coefficient of variation of t he repeatability (CVr) and the coefficient of variation of the reprodu cibility (CVR) during the period 1990-1994 are quantified. Though diff erent for the respective variables, namely for total bilirubin, CLDH, eosinophils in the white cell differential count, BHB, CK and Cu.
