V. Barger et al., BARYONIC Z' CONNECTION OF LEP R(B,C) DATA WITH TEVATRON (W,Z,GAMMA)B(B)OVER-BAR EVENTS, Physics letters. Section B, 381(1-3), 1996, pp. 226-236
The mixing of a new Z' boson with the Z significantly improves the fit
to the LEP precision electroweak data, provided that the Z' couples m
ainly to quarks. If M(z2), < 200 GeV, the s-channel Z(2) production an
d (W, Z, gamma)Z(2) pair production cross sections at the Tevatron giv
e an excess above QCD of b (b) over bar and ( W, Z, gamma)b (b) over b
ar events, respectively, with invariant mass m(b (b) over bar) approxi
mate to M(z2), which provide viable signals for detection of the Z(2).
The interference of the Z(2) With gamma, Z(1) in e(+)e(-) --> (b) ove
r bar b ((c) over bar c) at LEP 1.5 energies is correlated with R(b) (
R(c)) and may be observable.
