Abstract
The local environmental effects have been used to calculate the magnet ic moments carried by Fe and Co atoms, in FeAl1-xCox (0.31 less than o r equal to x less than or equal to 0.45). A good agreement has been ob served between the calculated values of the magnetic moments and those obtained from both Fe-57-Mossbauer spectroscopy and static magnetizat ion measurements.
