Abstract
In the Salsigne gold deposit (Aude, France), gold-silver alloys show c ompositions directly in relation with the associated hydrothermal stag e: the gold content of these alloys decreases progressively from value s higher than 85 atomic percent for the early biotitization stage to v alues of 29 to 38 atomic percent for the late chalcopyrite-sphalerite stage. This evolution is related to the decrease of temperatures durin g hydrothermal history, but also reflects variations of the Au/Ag rati o in the fluids.
