Abstract
This article presents the results of an exergetic analysis conducted o n an ammonia synthesis process by using and extending the capabilities of the functional analysis software of the ''ASPEN PlusTM'' processes . An exergetic analysis program was developed, which, from the results of an ASPEN PlusTM process simulation, computes to the total exergy f or all process fluxes and estimates exergetic losses in each unit oper ation of the process.
