In this investigation the dissolution of Braunite from Oltu, Erzurum-T
urkey in sulfuric acid solutions was studied. In the experiments, part
icle size, acid concentration, solid-to-liquid ratio, stirring speed a
nd reaction temperature were chosen as parameters. It was observed tha
t the dissolution rate increased with increasing acid concentration an
d reaction temperature, and with decreasing panicle size and solid-to-
liquid ratio, while no pronounced effect of stirring speed was observe
d. The activation energy for this process was found to be 40.95 kJ mol
