Abstract
The anodic oxidation of biphenyl or p-terphenyl in very dry CH2Cl2 + 0 .2 M Bu(4)NBF(4) is described as leading to poly(p-phenylene) possessi ng both p and n reversible processes. The electrochemical behavior and some physicochemical characteristics of the polymers are described to gether with their use as electrode modifier.
