Abstract
We present a study of thermistor effect and current induced transition in compacted mixed powders of copper and tetracyanoquinodimethane (TC NQ). We confirm first, a previous estimate of the yield of charge tran sfer reaction between the components. Then, thermistance (current-volt age) characteristics of these composites are investigated in connectio n with the degree of ionicity of TCNQ as deduced from infrared absorpt ion spectroscopy.
