Abstract
This paper brings together a great deal of previously scattered inform ation about the composition of avifauna of northwestern Parana and adj acent areas of Sao Paulo, Mate Grosso do Sul and Republic of Paraguay. All the localities of record of the species are listed, using the cur rent literature, museum specimens from various previously unstudied co llections and field observations of the authors. Some misidentified or doubtful records are discussed and deleted from the list.
