Abstract
Radial velocities and effective ejection radii of hydrocarbon secondar y ions sputtered electronically from polymer films have been experimen tally determined. Using these data, the radial profiles of the energy and momentum density in an individual MeV ion track on a picosecond ti me scale are directly mapped-out.
