Abstract
We report here a one-step synthesis of the tetrahydro-[1,2,4] oxadiazo lo [4,5-a] [1,5] benzodiazepines 4-6 and hexahydro-bis aziridino [1,2- a, 2',1'-d] [1,5] benzodiazepine 7 by condensation of nitrile oxides a nd dichlorocarbene with 1,5-benzodiazepine 1. The 1,3-dipolar cycloadd ition is completely peri and regioselective. The structural elucidatio n of these products was accomplished by spectral evidences.
