A. Cantagallo et S. Bonazzi, ACQUIRED DYSGRAPHIA WITH SELECTIVE DAMAGE TO THE GRAPHEMIC BUFFER - ASINGLE-CASE REPORT, Italian journal of neurological sciences, 17(3), 1996, pp. 249-254
We describe one patient with acquired dysgraphia who showed spelling e
rrors (mainly deletions and substitutions), both for words and non-wor
ds, across all output modalities (oral and written spelling, and delay
ed copying). Spelling accuracy was not affected by lexical factors, bu
t was a function of word length. The patient's performance in oral and
written tasks suggests the hypothesis of selective damage to the Grap
hemic Buffer.
