Electronic properties of polyacene in a constant magnetic field perpen
dicular to its hexagonal ring plane have been examined, based on the t
ight-binding crystal orbital method in the framework of the Huckel app
roximation. It has been found that the electronic properties periodica
lly change with the magnetic flux quantum passing through the hexagon
of polyacene.
