Abstract
The constant potential oxidation of iron in aqueous sulfuric acid solu tion induces a self-sustained nonlinear oscillation of the current. He re, two independently controlled iron electrodes become synchronized t o each other as the distance between the electrodes is reduced. The te mporal pattern of the synchronization is a function of the potential d ifference between the electrodes. The oscillation frequency of the iro n electrode can be changed by irradiation with visible light.
