Abstract
The simulation of the deep-drawing of square cups using the explicit n on-linear finite-element (FE) Code DYNA 30 is reported. FE models conc erning punch-force and physical modelling of the process from a macros copic point of view were constructed. The theoretical results obtained are compared with the results of experiments carried out on four coat ed steel sheets. For these materials, modelled as elasto-plastic work- hardened materials, a good agreement between modelling and experiments was obtained. The proposed FE model predicts satisfactory the load cu rves and the material flow and it is efficient for sheet-metal forming analysis.
