By a combination of a linear image sensor and a honeycomb collimator,
neutron radiography imaging system with wide dynamic range was constru
cted. Using this system, the effective thermal neutron attenuation coe
fficients for several materials were evaluated systematically. The ima
ging system was also used to perform neutron computed tomography as we
ll as to evaluate the CT-value for several metallic samples. The obtai
ned CT values agreed well with the effective neutron attenuation coeff
icients.
