B. Senut et al., BIOCHRONOLOGY OF THE CAINOZOIC SEDIMENTS AT BOSLUIS PAN, NORTHERN CAPE PROVINCE, SOUTH-AFRICA, South African journal of science, 92(5), 1996, pp. 249-251
New fossil discoveries from the Bosluis Pan sedimentary succession ind
icate and early Middle Miocene age for the diamondiferous basal gravel
s and grits, and a Pleistocene to Recent age for the red aeolian sands
at the top of the sequence. Between these two 'dated' successions is
a poorly fossiliferous aeolianite characterized by abundant traces of
bioturbation.
