Ag. Savchenko et al., THE MOSSBAUER-EFFECT ON FE-57 NUCLEI IN ALLOYS FOR PERMANENT-MAGNETS BASED ON ND-(FE,CO,M)-B (M=AL,TI), Russian metallurgy. Metally, (1), 1996, pp. 73-78
The Mossbauer effect on Fe-57 nuclei was used to investigate at room t
emperature alloys of the Nd-Fe-Co-M-B system (M = Al, Ti) in the cast
and rapidly solidified conditions, as well as sintered permanent magne
ts made of these alloys. The appearance and the structure of Mossbauer
spectra are independent of the condition of specimens made of the all
oys of the same composition. Addition of Al into the Nd-Fe-B-Co alloy
leads to the selective occupation of Fe sites in the lattice of Nd-2(F
e, Co)(14)B, whereas titanium does not virtually dissolve in the latti
ce of the major, magnetically hard phase.
