Abstract
A method is proposed for constructing field-ion contrasts of every des cription associated with superstructural defects in any ordered alloy. The method is based on solving two problems: exhaustive classificatio n of superstructural defects in a given ordered alloy and identificati on of alternating atomic planes of different types perpendicular to th e normal at a certain pole of the field-ion emitter surface.
