V. Schmidt et al., RECENT RESULTS IN ENERGY-RESOLVED AND ANGLE-RESOLVED DOUBLE PHOTOIONIZATION, Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 79, 1996, pp. 279-282
The study of energy- and angle-resolved double photoionization leads t
o the triple-differential cross section (TDCS) which can provide, exce
pt for the spin polarization of the electrons, the most complete infor
mation on the double photoionization process. Three recent results wil
l be presented: an absolute measurement for a selected helium TDCS pat
tern, TDCS patterns for direct double photoionization in neon leading
to the three final ionic states, S-1(e), P-3(e) and D-1(e) of the np(4
) ion core, and an investigation of resonance-affected double photoion
ization in the neon 2p(4) D-1(e) continuum.
