Abstract
A dual laser plasma (DLP) system has been developed for the study of i nner-shell excitations in atoms and ions. Some recent results on hollo w lithium atoms and ions, the Xe and Mg isoelectronic sequences and th e Ca isonuclear sequence are briefly described.
