The amplification of a space-charge wave in a two-dimensional electron
gas induced by a beam instability is considered. The electron beam is
regarded as being injected out of the quantum well by means of resona
nt tunneling. The beam-2DEG interaction is treated in terms of the hyd
rodynamic equations of a two-component liquid and the Poisson equation
. Tile numerical solution of the dispersion equation is obtained, the
increment of SCW is calculated and tile dependence of the increment on
the frequency tending to the 2D-plasmon frequency is considered.
