Abstract
Scanning tunneling microscopy and optical spectroscopy of CdS nanoclus ters and nanocluster self-assemblies were used to study the influence of capping ligands and cluster concentration on the aggregation proces s. Results are compared with TEM and X-ray diffraction data. Interacti on and bonding between these self-connected nanoclusters are discussed .
