Abstract
The authors report the case of a patient presenting with isolated left superior vena cava, for which intracardiac implantation of a cardiac pacemaker was facilitated by intraoperative transthoracic ultrasonogra phic detection of the course of the ventricular catheter. Transoesopha geal ultrasonography confirmed the diagnosis and eliminated a possible associated malformation.
