I. Frikha et al., TRANSPOSITION OF THE EXTERNAL JUGULAR-VEI N ONTO THE SUBCLAVIAN VEIN FOR TREATMENT OF SYMPTOMATIC STENOSIS OF THE RIGHT SUBCLAVIAN VEIN, Annales de cardiologie et d'angeiologie, 45(6), 1996, pp. 339-341
Subclavian vein stenosis is a classical complication of longterm venou
s catheterization in hemodialysis. We report the case of a 74 years-ol
d woman, operated for multiple arteriovenous fistulae, admitted to hos
pital with upper-limb oedema. Venous angiography demonstrated subclavi
an stenosis. Surgical treatment was performed by transposition of the
external jugular vein onto the subclavian vein with a good result.
