Abstract
A review of biosensors based on the direct electron transfer effect is carried out in this work. Different redox enzymes and proteins using the direct electron transport mechanism for electrocatalytical process es are described. The tunneling of electrons as a possible explanation of the direct electron transfer effect is also discussed. (C) 1996 El sevier Science Limited.
