Abstract
Research News: Novel inorganic Grignard complexes (e.g., that in the F igure) used as reagents enable nanoparticulate bimetallic systems, i.e ., intermetallics or alloys, to be prepared in a controlled two-stage process. The preparation and characterization of inorganic Grignard re agents and, in particular, the synthesis of nanoparticulate intermetal lics and alloys via such reagents are briefly reviewed.
