Abstract
Computer simulation of electrochemical processes that govern the opera tion of conducting polymer modified electrodes (CPME) have been report ed in this paper. Comparison of the behaviour of a biocatalyst (GOX) i n free solution and in the immobilized phase in conducting polymer mod ified electrodes (CPME) has been provided. The output has been obtaine d using the Runga Kutta numerical method solved by programming in FORT RAN 77. The results point out that the catalytic current generated by an immobilized enzyme in layer is larger as compared to that for the e nzyme in solution, and that ii varies with the thickness of the diffus ion layer.
