Ap. Argekar et al., SIMULTANEOUS DETERMINATION OF NORFLOXACIN AND TINIDAZOLE IN TABLETS BY REVERSE-PHASE HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHY (RP - HPLC), Analytical letters, 29(9), 1996, pp. 1539-1549
A new simple, precise, rapid and selective HPLC-RP method has been dev
eloped for the simultaneous determination of Norfloxacin and Tinidazol
e in formulations, using 0.2 % Triethylamine (TEA) in water : Acetonit
rile (80:20,v/v) and pH adjusted to 2.6 to 2.8 with Phosphoric acid, a
s a mobile phase, and C-18 SHODEX column (5 micron, 25 cm x 3.9 mm, ID
) as stationary phase. Detection was carried out using a UV detector a
t 311 nn Linearity range and percentage recoveries for Norfloxacin and
Tinidazole were 20 - 200 mu g/mL and 30 - 300 mu g/mL, 99.91 % and 99
.94 % respectively.
