K. Fujita et al., CONVERSION OF TRIFLUOROMETHYL-SUBSTITUTED PI-VINYLCARBENEIRON TO DIFLUOROTRIMETHYLENEMETHANE COMPLEXES, Chemistry Letters, (7), 1996, pp. 513-514
A trifluoromethyl-substituted pi-vinylcarbeneiron complex reacts with
[KB(sec-Bu)(3)H] or phenyllithium to afford difluorinated trimethylene
methane iron complexes. This is the first example of the conversion of
a pi-vinylcarbeneiron complex to a trimethylenemethane complex.
