Problems of applying numerical methods to problems of the propagation
of ultrasonic waves in complex inhomogeneous media are examined. An an
alysis of existing methods of solving the nonstationary hyperbolic (wa
ve) equation is given. Variants of a modified finite-difference method
are examined. Computer-aided design systems of methods and means of u
ltrasonic testing are proposed.
