Abstract
The Ru-Sn bimetallic system was one of the effective catalysts for sel ective hydrogenation of -C=O group in carboxylic acids. The type of ti n compound used for the preparation of the bimetallic catalysts was im portant for the hydrogenation activity, The effective materials were K 2SnO3 and Na2SnO3 for the hydrogenation of -C=O.
