The Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PI-R) is a contemporary mea
sure of 30 traits that define the five basic factors of normal persona
lity. In both research and applied samples it has shown evidence of re
liability and validity, and several studies suggest that it has utilit
y in the prediction of job performance. The domain and facet features
of the NEO-PI-R are discussed along with some issues in its use in ind
ustrial/organisational psychology.
