Abstract
Aroylnitrenes were generated via photoinduced electron transfer. The r eactivity of benzoylnitrene with respect to various pi-bonds such as o lefins and carbonyl groups was studied. Diastereoselectivity was obser ved with substituted cyclic enolethers. The stereoselectivity was infl uenced by electron donors bearing a chiral group.
