Abstract
The equipment for paper splitting was developed in cooperation between the German Library in Leipzig and the company Becker Verfahrenstechni k Gmbn. In June 1991 the paper splitting machine was put into operatio n in the German Library Leipzig. With full mechanisation, the old proc ess of paper splitting may be accorded a completely new status in pape r restoration.
