Dielectric properties of nickel-doped PbZrO3 ceramics were measured at
frequencies from 200 Hz to 50 kHz. When the ceramics were heated up t
o 700 degrees C, evidence of a peak in the dielectric constant was obs
erved in the paraelectric phase. It was also found that the peak obser
ved strongly depended on the applied frequency. Measurements of the fr
equency shift of the dielectric constant peak give an activation energ
y of 1.37 eV.
